About us | Whakapa mai

Our Tirau site produces casein, lactalbumin and Lactose used in both food and industrial applications for export to international markets. Casein and lactalbumin are typically used for infant formula and sports nutrition. This is one of our smaller sites.

About the opportunity | Te whai waahi

We are looking for an experienced Electrician to join our team where you'll be a key member of our high performing Maintenance Team, focusing on electrical maintenance and breakdown services across the site.

In this role, you will utilise your extensive industrial electrical experience and problem-solving skills to navigate changing work priorities to fault find and repair breakdowns. You will also plan and implement preventative maintenance initiatives to ensure our site performs at its peak each day. Other areas of focus include high voltage, instrumentation, control loops and PLCs.

This is a permanent opportunity on a Monday to Friday day shift roster, with one out of three weeks on call giving you true work life balance.

We are looking for an individual who has a natural ability at coping with change, you'll remain calm under pressure when responding to unplanned breakdowns and will confidently troubleshoot issues as they occur.

With your forward-thinking drive and ability to achieve results you'll have plenty of scope to drive continuous improvement on equipment with some of our industry's cutting edge automated technology. You'll be a strong problem solver with strong attention and excellent communication skills that will see you working collaboratively within the team and across the site.

We want to hear from you if you have:

A New Zealand Electrical Registration with a current practising licence

Experience in industrial electrical maintenance functions such as equipment repair, failure analysis to root cause and preventative maintenance

Exposure to a fast-paced automated and industrial environment

Hands on experience with PLC automation systems and instrumentation

Computer literacy skills and ideally experience with a CMMS and SAP systems

Experience within the food, dairy or farming industry is highly desirable.
