Industrial Facilities and Infrastructure  About the Role:We are seeking a skilled Water Treatment Electrician to join our friendly team in Hamilton. We are looking for someone who is organised, can work independently, and shows flexibility to tackle anything put in front of them.Main responsibilities include:Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment in water treatment plants.Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical components.Diagnose and repair electrical faults, ensuring compliance with the Electricity Safety Regulations and relevant standards (e.g., NZS 3000).Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to enhance system performance.Maintain accurate records of work performed and assist in compliance reporting.About you:NZ Electrical Registration with current practicing licenseProven experience in the water treatment sector. Sound fault finding abilities across all types of electrical plant and systems.Knowledge of Telemetry and SCADA systemsKnowledge and experience in PLC and automation across multiple systems is required. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail. About McKay:McKay is one of the largest privately owned electrical contracting companies in New Zealand.
