Waikato will be the predominant area of work for this role – however, you may also be required to work in the Bay of Plenty and Hawkes Bay Regions.
This will be discussed further with the successful applicant.We are looking for Electricians with background knowledge and experience with the following (but are not limited to):Examining blueprints, wiring diagrams and specifications to determine sequences and methods of operationMeasuring and laying out installation reference pointsSelecting, cutting and connecting wire and cable to terminals and connectorsUsing electrical and electronic test instruments to trace and diagnose faultsRepairing and replacing faulty wiring and defective partsPositioning and installing electrical switchboardsConnecting electrical systems to power supplyTesting continuity of circuitInstalling, testing and adjusting electric and mechanical parts of liftsInstalling, mounting, wiring, and connecting solar photovoltaic (PV) panels and arrays on rooftops or ground-mounted structuresConfiguring, testing, and commissioning solar PV systems, including inverters, batteries, and monitoring equipmentEnsuring proper alignment, weatherproofing, and safety of solar installationsIdeally, you will be or have:Minimum 3+ years' experienceTrade qualifications preferred; however, scope and length of electrical experience may substitute for the formal qualificationRelevant NZ EWRB Limited or a Practicing License preferredYour own toolsOwn reliable transportAt least 2 work references100% commitment to Health & SafetyAble to pass a pre-employment drug testIn return, we offer competitive rates of pay, varied and challenging work, regular hours with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week, as well as long-term opportunities.Minimum pay range $28-$35 depending on experience.
