Our Opportunity
We are currently looking for a Maintenance Electrician to join our team at Longburn site in Palmerston North. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for enhancing the electrical reliability of equipment and plant through effective maintenance practices and procedures.
The shift pattern is 4 days on, 4 days off: 5am – 5pm for the first two days and then 10.30am – 10.30pm for the next two days.
Key accountabilities of the role include:
Ensure machinery and plant is maintained to ensure optimum performance, through active scheduled maintenance.
Completing preventative and predictive maintenance and supporting breakdowns.
Maintenance of electrical control equipment, pumps, motors, VSD's, conveyers, manufacturing and filling equipment etc.
Drive factory quality and SHE standards to ensure and demonstrate continued and sustainable improvement in safety for the site.
Ensure all breakdowns are communicated to the team.
Finding solutions to problems and not just identifying them.
The successful applicant will have:
2 years' experience as an electrician (preferably in an industrial setting).
GMP, food safety understanding and quality awareness.
HS&E knowledge.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Strong diagnostic, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work well as part of a strong maintenance team.
Ability to work unsupervised and meet required deadlines.
Ability to communicate well with all members of the team.
Fully Registered Electrician with a current practicing licence.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45.07 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
