Aquaheat Facility Services is a premier provider of facility management services being 100% New Zealand owned and operated with over 70 years of history providing a comprehensive range of facility maintenance services to a selected range of local government, education, commercial, industrial and infrastructure customers throughout New Zealand.
Due to the expansion of services with one of our long-term clients being the University of Auckland we are looking for skilled tradespeople to join our Facility Management team on site at their City and Grafton Campuses where we provide Electrical, HVAC Mechanical, Plumbing, Gas, Carpentry and Handyperson services.
Responsibilities for the role include:
Efficiently, effectively, and safely, carry out all planned maintenance, reactive or remedial service work, fault diagnostics and installation works on site
At all times enthusiastically expedite all works in a professional and tradesman-like manner to a level of quality that meets relevant legislative and commercial/industry standards
Identify and report all remedial works resulting from your planned maintenance inspections
Responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for self, colleagues, customers, and the general public
This position will require availability for after hours work and emergency call support on a rotating basis.
To be successful a candidate will require the following qualifications and experience:
Electrical trade qualifications with at least three years' NZ experience
NZ residency and/or valid NZ permit to work
A proven background in Electrical maintenance, servicing, and remedial repairs in a commercial building environment
Current NZ Class 1 (car) driver's license
Be well presented and have a high degree of self-motivation
Have the ability to work independently or as part of a team
A passion for maintaining a safe work environment
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ideally, you will have broad Electrical maintenance experience with the ability to prioritise and manage your work activities. Whilst not essential, the ability to work with and train apprentices and trade assistants will be highly regarded.
We are looking for someone who has a genuine belief in providing excellent customer service, is highly motivated with a "can do" attitude. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in the trade, with a proven track record in fault finding and troubleshooting.
