Electron is one of the world's most frequently-launched rockets, and our team behind its success are diligent, move fast, and have each others' back to deliver a reliable rocket to the launch pad time and time again.ABOUT THE ROLE:As an Electrician based at Rocket Lab's site in Waikato, you will have the opportunity to support Electron rocket engine testing facilities, enabling component, rocket engine and full vehicle testing at a high cadence. As well as enabling research and development at our test sites for the Space Systems and Neutron programmes.WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO:In this role you will work on the build and maintenance of the infrastructure that goes into assembling and testing rocket engines, components and full vehicles at cadence, including associated test and launch infrastructure.To be successful in this role, you must be a qualified industrial electrician, with an impeccable attention to detail, able to remain calm under pressure and execute to aggressive timelines to meet production requirements.YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:3+ years' experience in an industrial electrical role.Registered 'Electrician' with the EWRB and holds a current & full electrical license.Ability to interpret technical documents such as schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment documentation.A hands-on attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work to tight deadlines.Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision whilst maintaining a cohesive group culture.Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively within all levels of the organisation.THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:Can prepare reports on repairs or commissioning activities performed and distribute to stakeholders as needed.Design of electrical control circuits and infrastructure.Control and Instrumentation experience, in a manufacturing environment.Experience with Back-up & critical power supply systemsIf the above sounds like you apply now!WHAT TO EXPECTWe're on a mission to unlock the potential of space to improve life on Earth, but that's not an easy task.
