We are looking for an experienced Industrial Electrician/Electrical Systems Engineer who has what it takes to succeed in a dynamic and challenging role. As a member of the Operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining electrical control systems associated with water and wastewater infrastructure across the district.Full Time – PermanentAbout the roleAs a member of the Operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining electrical control systems associated with water and wastewater infrastructure across the district.Skills and ExperienceOperational knowledge of Automation and telemetry systems.Demonstrated experience in PLC and instrumentation technology.Operational knowledge of telemetry systems.Excellent interpersonal skills.Demonstrated proven experience in the running and management of electrical systems.Demonstrated competence with computer applications.Must be a registered electrician.Demonstrated experience in PLC technology.Ability to analyze complex electrical problems and identify solutions.Demonstrated experience and strong working knowledge of SCADA operation and associated software and hardware.Demonstrated ability to effectively negotiate and manage key suppliers and use their services efficiently.Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills.Ability to be flexible with working hours to accommodate call-out requirements as may be required.Effective time management skills and ability to work effectively without supervision and collaboratively as an effective team member.How to applyThe preferred candidate will be required to undergo the usual pre-employment checks, including drug and alcohol screening and criminal history.
