Add expected salary to your profile for insights Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Electrical & HVAC Controls Estimator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates for electrical and control systems in commercial, industrial, and construction projects. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical components, control systems and strong analytical skills.Key Responsibilities:Review project drawings, technical specifications, and scope of work for electrical, HVAC and BMS control systems.Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates, including materials, labour, and equipment for electrical and control projects.Analyse and interpret engineering designs, plans, and schematics.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to gather necessary information for estimating.Prepare bid proposals, budget estimates, and project schedules for submission.Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure alignment with project specifications.Maintain updated knowledge of industry trends, material costs, and market conditions.Conduct risk analysis and provide recommendations to mitigate project risks.Attend pre-bid meetings, site walks, and consultations with clients as necessary.Key requirements:Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical estimating including HVAC control systems & BMS, or related work.Strong understanding of electrical systems, control panels, and automation.Previous experience in E4C & E4M installations – PLC related qualification advantageous.Proficiency in using estimating softwareFamiliarity with building regulations and electrical standards – ESR 2010, ASNZS3000:2007/20018, ISO 16484-5Up to date with building efficiency standards such as Greenstar requirementsStrong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.What We Offer:Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance.Opportunities for career growth and professional development.A collaborative and supportive work environment.How to Apply:Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their resume, cover letter, and any relevant certifications to ****** Your application will include the following questions: Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?
