The role
As an Electrical Fitter/Electrician, you will be able to communicate confidently and have a great eye for detail.
You will be a part of an experienced team to construct and maintain electrical equipment to customer requirements in distribution and some substation environments.
This role will report to the Electrical Field Services Manager and will be based at our Hamilton Depot.
The key responsibility for this position includes, but are not limited to: Performing electrical work according to regulationsInstalling new equipment such as ground mount switches and transformers with associated pillar boxesInspecting, fault finding, and fixing HV and LV electrical equipmentKeeping accurate records and reporting work done; GPS recording of new equipmentIdentifying issues and providing effective solutionsConducting precise job scoping and planningAssisting with repairs, maintenance and periodic inspectionsIdentifying and solving potential problemsWhat's in it for you?

We're looking for a qualified Electrician that is eager to learn an important part of the electrical industry.
Any level of experience is accepted, but you will need to be a registered New Zealand Electrician.
Our leadership team provides guidance and support to help you excel.
To be successful in this role, you will also have some of the following skills: Experience in 11KV to 220KV Substation Construction or Maintenance is desirablePreferably working at height competencies and experience heavy industry & construction type skill setAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics & diagramsExperience with isolating and switching HV & LV network systemsBe a registered electrician with a current practicing licenceAble to cope with the physical demands of the job and has a strong commitment to health and safetyA New Zealand driver's licenseAbout us
