ElectriNet, based in Gisborne, is Eastlands' largest power, electrical, refrigeration, fire system, solar provider, EV chargers, plumbing, gas fitting, drainage, and data contractor. We are recruiting for an Electrical Fitter with good work skills and team-based work practices to start with the team in January 2025. Reporting to the Utilities Manager, you will be part of a motivated team responsible for providing field-based technical and fitting services for network maintenance and projects, including all types of high voltage electrical installation and repair work.
To be successful, a candidate will require the following qualifications and experience: Current New Zealand EWRB Practising LicenceElectrical Trade CertificateNZ Line Mechanic Qualification (preferred but not necessary)Current Full Class 1 NZ Drivers Licence (Class 2 preferred but not necessary)2 to 5 years in associated activitiesThorough knowledge of health and safety requirements in the electricity industryAbility to install, operate, repair, and maintain all field-based equipment used on the networkAble to design and build systems as required for specific problem-solving situations in the fieldKnowledge of generation and distribution equipment (low and high voltage)Understanding of network operating systemsLV and MV cable termination and jointing (preferred but not necessary)Computer and data capture skills an advantageThe Horizon Energy Group takes pride in its commitment to the health and safety of all its stakeholders and bases all its activities on safety leadership, risk management, and worker participation as a premise.
