The primary focus of the role is to assist in the design, assembly, installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical equipment and installations. The role requires proficiency in preparing drawings, plans, and diagrams for electrical machines and motors, ensuring compliance with specifications and safety regulations. Key responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Prepare drawings, plans, and diagrams for electrical machines and motors. Assist Electrical Engineers and Engineering Technologists in designing and laying out electrical installations for mechanical and motor control systems as required. Inspect designs and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations. Assemble, install, test, calibrate, modify, and repair electrical equipment and installations to meet regulatory and safety requirements. Undertake electrical workshop functions including the installation of assemblies for protection relays, metering, and indicating devices as required. Ensure all tasks comply with relevant regulations and safety standards. Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth operations and effective teamwork. Report any issues or concerns identified to the manager promptly. Skills & Attributes: At least 1 year of relevant work experience OR a relevant tertiary education. Strong understanding of electrical installation practices and regulations. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
