Fluid Recruitment is proud to partner with a specialist energy consultancy in search of an experienced Design Engineer.The CompanyOur client is a specialist energy consultancy partnering with distribution networks, transmission networks, and power generators. They undertake power systems studies, detailed design, and project management for their clients' most challenging and technically complex works.With ongoing growth and demand in the sector, it's an exciting time to be a part of this growing consultancy.The RoleAs a Design Engineer, you will work closely with our client's energy partners across transmission, distribution, and generation. You will utilise your engineering knowledge to understand their network challenges and future, before undertaking complex system studies while providing comprehensive reports on potential solutions.This will see you working with our clients' partners on new and ongoing developments, specialising in either primary, secondary, or substation design. The role presents an opportunity to hone your tried and tested skillset whilst continuing to develop in new specialist areas. Collaborating with the internal team of experienced Power Systems and Protection Engineers, the role presents a unique opportunity for you to tackle the industry's greatest challenges.About YouComing from an electrical design background in generation, transmission, or distribution, you will be a technical specialist with a passion for the growing energy sector. Bringing extensive exposure across a range of key design projects, you will be well versed with AutoCAD or similar design software. Utilising your ability to document and openly discuss your technical solutions with clients is essential for the role.This may see you coming from another Design Engineer role with a distribution or transmission network, or related consultancy, seeking the opportunity to step into a senior position whilst taking technical ownership on a range of key projects. Alternatively, you may be in an engineering role in an industrial or oil & gas sector, bringing strong experience on HV/MV private networks, with exposure to the greater power sector.
