Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Plan, budget, and execute electrical projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
Prepare cost estimates and detailed designs for project quoting.
Scope, design, and price variation work as needed.
Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of electricians, technicians, and support staff.
Manage work forecasting and allocation in collaboration with scheduling and admin teams.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong client relationships, exceeding their expectations.
Quality Assurance:
Uphold quality control processes to maintain high standards of workmanship and safety.
Manage project financials, including budgeting, cost control, and profitability analysis.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, codes, and safety standards.
Participate in health and safety management, reporting, and incident investigations.
Business Development:
Identify new business opportunities and cultivate partnerships to expand our market presence.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team through training and constructive feedback.
Qualifications:
Relevant tertiary qualification and a valid driver's license.
Proven experience in the electrical contracting industry.
In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and project management methodologies.
Strong business acumen with a successful track record of managing budgets and driving profitability.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Although not a necessity, familiarity with software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, project management software) and professional certifications (PMP, PE) are desirable.
