We are currently seeking a Services Coordinator - Electrical & Utilities in our Property and Campus Services Team. What will I be doing? The Key Aspects Of This Fast-paced Role Include Preparation, planning and scheduling of maintenance works on MIT Electrical and Utilities assets. Managing contracts and contractors to ensure assets and systems perform to required levels, and assist with minor capital project works. Project management and delivery, contract management, cost control, customer service, health and safety. Role includes involvement in writing business cases, tendering and evaluation. Managing minor projects on building alterations, upgrades and fit-outs, and renewal of electrical and utilities plant and equipment. With a hands-on approach, the incumbent will have regular site presence to ensure delivery is being done to plan and safety is in place, always. Facilitating information on all electrical and utilities assets, coordinating tests and power outages, while balancing operational excellence and cost effectiveness across the MIT property portfolio. Other key aspects include assisting the Property Manager with items for inclusion in the annual Minor Capital Works projects, ensuring they are completed on time, on budget, and are of high quality. Negotiating prices with external contractors and suppliers ensuring that quality standards are maintained, and that costs are within set budget allocations. Coordinate and liaise with contractors and suppliers of services ensuring that works, services or projects meet the agreed specifications. Mou te take - E uiga ia te oe - About you: Required A customer-focused person to join a highly effective Property & Campus Services team. You will need to have some experience in the electrical industry, building services or utilities, and have successfully implemented small to medium sized projects. Key skills required for this position are: Relevant tertiary qualification in electrical, utilities or building services. Minimum 3 years' work experience. Minimum 3 years' experience with either Electrical, Utilities, or similar systems. Project or contract coordination skills will be an advantage. Full Drivers Licence to travel to multi-site locations. The ideal applicant will be self-directed, motivated and goal-oriented; achieving desired results within tight timeframes. The incumbent will be methodical and an adept problem solver; be a strong team player; and have strong customer focus, and should be able to manage data integrity with demonstrated attention to detail, and have a reasonable level of personal fitness and the ability to carry out demanding workload.
