Success is not the work of one, but the work of many. Permanent, Monday to Friday 80 hours per fortnight (1.0FTE) We are seeking a Surgical Elective Booking Co-ordinator who shares our values of He kauanuanu – Respect, Akina – Improvement, Raranga te tira – Teamwork and Tauwhiro – Care.

An excellent opportunity has become available for a skilled Administrator to work within the Hawke's Bay DHB's Surgical Booking Coordinators Team.

You may also be requested to provide support for other admin areas.

Our teams coordinate Surgical bookings, so you'll need to be an effective communicator, have excellent administrative, organisational, and time management skills, and the ability to work under pressure.

Naturally, you will be able to recognise the needs, aims, and aspirations of whanau from all culturally diverse groups within our community.
We are ideally looking for someone with several years' experience in a busy role, and it is essential that you have the following skills:

Competent in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint) and related functions and generally be computer savvy with the ability to learn the other software packages used. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people - internally and externally. Multi-tasking abilities. Self-motivated, with the ability to prioritise your own workload, as well as work as part of the team. This position requires 5 days cover. You will be required to deal sensitively and confidentially with all information and have a strong attention to detail.

It would be an advantage if you have previous experience working in the health sector.
