Responsibilities: • Partner with senior leadership to develop, implement, and continuously improve EHS strategies and programs that align with company objectives and regulatory requirements. • Lead and support the development of safety policies, procedures, and training programs to promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship. • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify hazards, assess risks, and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate incidents, near misses, and environmental concerns, and develop effective corrective and preventive actions. • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on EHS matters, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and emergency response. • Stay informed about emerging EHS trends, technologies, and best practices, and proactively recommend opportunities for improvement. What you offer: • Tertiary qualification in an appropriate discipline • Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management or related role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. • Expert understanding and practical knowledge of NZ Health & Safety legislation and standards / codes of practice. • Knowledge of the implementation of ISO 45001 is desired. • ICAM (Incident Cause Analysis Method) or equivalent training, with demonstrated experience in conducting thorough and effective incident investigations, identifying root cause and implementing corrective actions • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. • Proven track record of driving EHS initiatives, managing projects, and achieving measurable results.
