Stand Tu Maia is looking for an exceptional individual to lead the exciting developments within our Education Service. Stand Tu Maia works to support tamariki who live with whanau or are in care, and are vulnerable to cumulative harm and have complex needs. The service aims to break the cycle of toxic stress and remove the constraints to whanau flourishing. We aim to do this by taking a bio-psycho-social, spiritual and nutritional approach to tamariki and whanau restoration and preservation. We strongly believe that healing relationships and social connectedness is at the heart of our mahi. Responsibilities will include working with a variety of cultures including Maori and Pacifica, and all staff are expected to demonstrate cultural humility and a commitment to restoration of whanau as a form of Te Tiriti redress.

Role Requirements / Person Specification
We are seeking applications from any relevant professional with the following attributes:
Understanding and valuing of Te Ao Maori
Ability to lead in a bicultural environment and sustain commitment to the promise of equity laid down by Te Tiriti
Capability to lead others to deeply engage, motivate and offer consistent kindness to tamariki and whanau.
Knowledge and ability on how to address the impacts of trauma on child development and attachment
Belief in the importance of teamwork, partnership and collaboration
An ability to lead practice and understanding of therapeutic education and child led learning
Familiarity with child development and the importance of healthy attachment
Belief in the importance of partnership and professional supervision
Enjoyment of working in an inter-disciplinary team sharing tools and theories to inform and continually improve practice
An eye for detail and valuing of clinical governance of case recording, assessment, analysis and child and family plan documentation
Ensure and monitor quality practice standards
Full driver's licence
