Put simply, sustainability is what we do.Job DescriptionAbout the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Education Officer to join our friendly team at our Head Office, based in East Tamaki. In this role you will be working with residents, businesses, the local community and Council with education campaigns; assist the local community by responding to refuse, recycling and food scrap collection issues at the customer end of the operation and contribute to increasing market share for the Council refuse service and participation.Your key responsibilities will include:Carrying out thorough investigation and resolution into bin mis-use issuesDeveloping programme plans for work in collaboration with the Council Contract management and enforcement officers to determine focus areasVisiting and educating residents/businesses that are non-compliant in a number of areas; ensuring appropriate actions, documentation and reporting processes are followedCarrying out follow-up checks to ensure that bins are compliantLiaising with relevant stakeholders to resolve ongoing waste collection issuesProducing and distributing collateral to educate residents on specific issuesProviding monthly reporting to council outlining the work done in the previous months, successes, persistent issue areas and progressQualificationsTo be successful in this role you need to have:Proven experience in a similar role, producing and implementing plans and programsHigh attention to detail, strong verbal communication skills and a good understanding of operating proceduresProficient in using MS office software (word, excel, internet explorer)Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate building reliable and productive customer/stakeholder relationshipsDemonstrate self-motivation and strong time managementClass 1 Driver's licenceWe are looking for a confident individual who can juggle multiple tasks and able to deal with our customers in a prompt and professional manner.Additional InformationIn returnChance to upskill and create a career path.Access to discounted health insurance.Discounts on various products and services.Petrol discounts at Z.Health and Safety training and career development opportunities.Free annual flu vaccination.How to ApplyTo be eligible, you must currently reside in New Zealand and hold a valid work visa/residency or be a New Zealand citizen.Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity!
