Job Description About the Role We are looking for an experienced Education Officer to join our friendly team at our Head Office, based in East Tamaki.
In this role you will be working with residents, businesses, the local community and Council with education campaigns; assist the local community by responding to refuse, recycling and food scrap collection issues at the customer end of the operation and contribute to increasing market share for the Council refuse service and participation.
Your key responsibilities will include: Carrying out thorough investigation and resolution into bin mis-use issues Developing programme plans for work in collaboration with the Council Contract management and enforcement officers to determine focus areas Visiting and educating residents/businesses that are non-compliant in a number of areas; ensuring appropriate actions, documentation and reporting processes are followed Carrying out follow-up checks to ensure that bins are compliant Liaising with relevant stakeholders to resolve ongoing waste collection issues Producing and distributing collateral to educate residents on specific issues Providing monthly reporting to council outlining the work done in the previous months, successes, persistent issue areas and progress Qualifications To be successful in this role you need to have: Proven experience in a similar role, producing and implementing plans and programs High attention to detail, strong verbal communication skills and a good understanding of operating procedures Proficient in using MS office software (word, excel, internet explorer) Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate building reliable and productive customer/stakeholder relationships Demonstrate self-motivation and strong time management Class 1 Driver's licence We are looking for a confident individual who can juggle multiple tasks and able to deal with our customers in a prompt and professional manner.
