Are you passionate about enhancing public engagement with Parliament? Do you have a talent for educating a diverse range of people and developing educational programmes that inspire and inform diverse audiences? We're seeking an Education Lead to join our Parliamentary Engagement team!
Mo te tunga | About the Role: As the Education Lead, you will champion the development, delivery, and evaluation of educational programmes that cater to Members of Parliament, the public service, students, international visitors, and the general public. You will lead a dedicated team, ensuring the creation of high-quality resources that meet the needs of our diverse audiences.
Some key responsibilities will include: Leading and inspiring a team of Education Advisers to design and implement effective educational initiatives.Monitoring the delivery of education programs and evaluating their effectiveness to continuously improve our services.Collaborating with various stakeholders, including Whips offices and Members of Parliament, to enhance outreach and professional development.Contributing to the overall Parliamentary Engagement strategy and ensuring alignment with our core values of Integrity, Manaakitanga, Accountability, Whanaungatanga, and Empowerment.To kete | What You Will Bring to the Role: The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
A relevant tertiary qualification, with a strong understanding of educational principles; teaching experience or experience in an LEOTC (Learning Outside the Classroom) setting is a plus.Sound understanding of parliamentary procedures and practices.Proven experience in leading educational programs and managing events.Strong relationship management skills, especially in politically sensitive environments.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in accessible formats.Nga ahuatanga kei a matou | What's in it for You? Please note: This is a full-time permanent role. The starting salary range for this position is $111,343 - $122,931 per annum, with opportunities for tenure progression based on skills and experience.
