Our YMCA Taranaki Childcare centre is a cosy and welcoming, inclusive and community focussed centre.
Our centre reflects our local community and builds a whanau orientated environment by developing meaningful relationships through care and respect with our tamariki and whanau, incorporating their values, beliefs, culture and whanau into our daily curriculum.
We promote the joy of learning and working together to encourage tamariki to develop their interests, imagination and individuality.
The Centre is licensed for 49 tamariki – 19 under 2s and 30 over 2.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated registered ECE or Primary qualified Teacher to inspire and be part of a great team who is passionate about delivering and maintaining a high standard to education and care for our tamariki at the YMCA Taranaki Childcare Centre.
This role is a permanent role for 20-30 hours per week , with rostered hours between 7.00 am to 5.30 pm, Monday to Friday.
Our Centre has opted in to Pay Parity.
We want a creative and nurturing person who will enjoy learning, laughing and playing alongside our tamariki and has the following attributes:- Provisionally or fully registered teacher, who is Primary or ECE qualified.
A calm and caring nature.
Collaborative team player and a great role model.
Ability to inspire and motivate children.
A passion for early childhood education and delivering high quality education and care.
Strong understanding of programme planning, learning stories, self-review and assessment.
Good knowledge of ECE regulations, Te Whariki curriculum and compliance.
Energetic and a sense of humour.
An excellent communicator (written and verbal).
Innovative and demonstrates initiative.
First Aid Certificate or the ability to obtain one.
