A unique opportunity has come about for a certificated ECE endorsed Teacher to join a team of 15 at the Farmyard in Gisborne. You will get to enjoy working alongside the youngest learners aged 2 - 6 years of age with a strong focus on outdoor education and environmentally friendly practices. The centre holds a licence for 110 tamariki and boasts fantastic community connections and has made a real commitment to caring for the environment and living sustainably while supporting children to understand the importance of this.
This role would best suit a registered Teacher (provisional or full) who has some experience working with children 2 - 6 years of age and is passionate to keep working with this age group moving forward.
This is a permanent, full-time position working Monday - Friday in a one of a kind architecturally designed eco building, on a rotating roster with a mix of open and close shifts with a January / February 2024 start date.

What would we like to see from you? Bachelor's degree in early childhood education (ECE)
New Zealand Level 7 Qualification in Early Years Education
Current New Zealand Teachers Registration or be close to obtaining it
A genuine warmth, care, and passion for children.
Team-player who is collaborative and reflects upon best practice.
Knowledge and understanding of Te Whariki.
