Full Time Fixed Term Contract for Maternity Leave.
Start Date: 24 January 2025 – End Date: 12 December 2025
35.5 hours per week.
Lake Okareka Preschool is an amazing early childhood centre nestled in the Lake Okareka Village just 10 minutes from central Rotorua. We are a community based not for profit Preschool. We cater for 20 two and a half to six year olds in the mornings and a smaller group in the afternoons for further specialist teaching and local trips. We are a place where children are empowered to experiment and explore their world in a safe and nurturing environment. 
We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate and innovative early childhood teacher to join our long standing and experienced team. This teacher needs to have compassion, empathy and be able to build positive relationships with tamariki, whanau and the teaching team. We are looking for someone who has knowledge and understanding of Te Whariki and has excellent communication skills both written and verbal and be able to work collaboratively to provide quality education and care.

Minimum B.Ed./Dip teaching level 7 (ECE) Have current teacher certificationBe passionate about working in a culturally diverse communityStrong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi demonstrated through pedagogical practiceApplicants MUST be New Zealand based and have eligibility to work in New Zealand with NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
