Our philosophy centres on the belief that nature is an invaluable teacher, fostering children's learning through play in a relaxed, natural setting.Our contemporary, Wellness Architecture-designed space integrates nature's elements, embracing sustainability through rainwater capture, solar energy, and biophilic design principles. We're committed to creating a nurturing environment that prioritises the wellbeing of tamariki, kaiako, and whanau, while also caring for the planet.Village Green is part of a collection of four family-owned and operated centres in the North Island of Aotearoa. Our other centres are Eden ELC, Northcote ELC and The Park ELC.The RoleAs our ECE Centre Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our centre from the ground up. You have the opportunity to recruit and create the foundation teaching team for Village Green, bringing together educators who share an interest in a nature-based, holistic approach to learning. Your leadership will be instrumental in delivering a high-quality, nature-based curriculum that supports our tamariki in their journey of exploration and discovery.Key responsibilities include:Leading a passionate team of educators, providing mentorship, and fostering a collaborative, positive learning culture.Ensuring compliance with all ECE regulations and maintaining high standards in line Te Whariki.Building and nurturing strong relationships with whanau, staff, and the wider community.Overseeing day-to-day operations, including managing occupancy levels and ensuring the centre's financial viability.Embracing and promoting our centre's sustainability initiatives, contributing to a nurturing environment for children, families, and staff.About YouRequirements for the role include:Previous centre leadership or management experience in New Zealand.A passion for delivering a nature-based curriculum.An NZQA-approved Level 7 ECE teaching qualification and current registration/certification.A commitment to innovation, resilience, and enthusiasm in delivering high-quality nature-based educational experiences.What We OfferHe aha te mea nui o te ao?
