Conveniently located across the road from Queenspark, at BestStart Kelvin Street we regularly go on local excursions and collaborate with Queenspark for our "Set for School" program, along with our visits to the local primary school once a term.
Our Bush Kindy program includes weekly adventures to Otatara Reserve and Daffodil Bay on Fridays for our tamariki to explore.
Our team at Beststart Kelvin Street are highly dedicated, with many members having been with the centre for over three years, and our longest-standing member serving for 13 years.

Our ideal applicant will need to be flexible, eager to learn and help while showing great initiative.
This is a permanent position working 30 hours per week Monday-Friday.
We require someone who can be flexible, it will be a mix of shifts with some early starts or late finishes, to support the forever changing needs of the centre.

Reporting to our Centre Manager and working within a close-knit team you will be joining a dedicated team of Teachers who provide quality care and education to our tamariki.
Here's what you'll do on a day-to day basis: Provide amazing care and education to our tamariki Champion the team spirit and engage in activities that empower and extend tamariki learning Fully participate in centre activities across all classrooms and cover staff breaks where necessary Support centre operations at all levels Role requirements: Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence.
An ECE qualification is not required for this role, but a natural affinity with children – especially infants and toddlers, and experience working with children under five is a must.
You'll also have a high level of initiative and an ability to take direction from others.
