Eastern Southland Activator

Active Southland is looking for a proactive and community-driven individual to help grow and support sport, play, and recreation opportunities across Eastern Southland. In this key role, you'll collaborate with local clubs, schools, and the Gore District Council to strengthen community activity and participation.
The role involves building partnerships with local stakeholders, providing valuable insights to inform future planning, and supporting projects that encourage active lifestyles. You will also help facilitate systems change in local sport and recreation, while promoting initiatives such as the MLT Moonshine Trail to engage the wider community.
Key Skills and Experience: Relevant tertiary qualification in sport management, recreation, or physical education
In-depth knowledge of Eastern Southland communities (preferred)
Proven experience in managing projects and working with diverse stakeholders
Strong communication and networking abilities
Passionate about fostering active recreation and sport at the local level
