Earthworks Manager

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager who is passionate about the earthworks industry. Your role will be responsible for the day-to-day running of various projects including roading and civil projects for our rural and commercial clients.Privately owned, Agnew Transport works within the horticulture, farming, and industrial sectors throughout Hawke's Bay. We operate three divisions, namely transport, agricultural contracting, and heavy machinery. Our motto "big enough to deliver, small enough to care" portrays our philosophy of striving to achieve the best outcome for both staff and clients.The RoleDay-to-day running of sites, ensuring that the job is delivered on time and to budget.Management of onsite staff, including "hands-on" when required.Oversee Health and Safety requirements.To be involved in quoting jobs, as time allows.Experience RequiredBe experienced with driving excavators, graders, and rollers.Have the ability to efficiently plan and manage workflow, including machinery requirements & ordering material.Be capable of taking charge of your worksite, including managing a small team.Be a team player and able to communicate well with clients and staff.Health & Safety requirements.Be able to, or have the ability to learn how to prepare client's quotes.Understand plans, drawings, and specifications.Good analytical skills.We Can OfferAn opportunity to be part of a privately owned business.Possible profit share options to the right applicant.Company vehicle.Job variety.Scope to develop and grow within the business.Great team culture.You will be part of a small friendly team who ultimately works and supports each other.
