We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to join a vibrant team in the Over 2's Room at a childcare centre in North Canterbury. The centre provides a unique rural setting, which allows the children to learn by exploring and discovering the world around them. The centre features a dedicated 3 acre farmyard where the children enjoy building relationships with the animals.
Role and Daily Responsibilities: As a full-time teacher in the over 2's room your key responsibilities are to:
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and learning experiences for childrenProvide a high standard of education and care in a safe and nurturing environmentKeep record of children's experiences at the centre through the use of a learning journalStrengthen relationships between preschool and family/whanauProvide an inclusive environment through the use of te Maori, tikanga and learn respect for both partners of Te Tiriti o WaitangiIdeal Candidate: ECE or primary teaching qualification (Level 7+) or equivalentCurrent NZ Teacher RegistrationFirst Aid Certificate (or willingness to complete a course)Must be a NZ citizen or Permanent ResidentBenefits: Extended Pay ParityTeachers are supported to extend their knowledge through professional developmentTeachers are provided with mentoring to provide personal and professional growth If you're passionate about early childhood education and want to be part of a team that values creative learning and relationship-driven teaching, apply now!
