Are you a fully qualified and registered Early Childhood Teacher with a passion for nurturing and educating young minds?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to join a vibrant team in the Over 2's Room at a childcare centre in North Canterbury. The centre provides a unique rural setting, which allows the children to learn by exploring and discovering the world around them. The centre features a dedicated 3 acre farmyard where the children enjoy building relationships with the animals.
Role and Daily Responsibilities:
As a full-time teacher in the over 2's room your key responsibilities are to:
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and learning experiences for children
Provide a high standard of education and care in a safe and nurturing environment
Keep record of children's experiences at the centre through the use of a learning journal
Strengthen relationships between preschool and family/whanau
Provide an inclusive environment through the use of te Maori, tikanga and learn respect for both partners of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
Ideal Candidate:
ECE or primary teaching qualification (Level 7+) or equivalent
Current NZ Teacher Registration
First Aid Certificate (or willingness to complete a course)
Must be a NZ citizen or Permanent Resident
