Our client, KidsCan, a leading not-for-profit organisation in New Zealand, is seeking an experienced and passionate Early Childhood Education (ECE) Manager. This role is pivotal to the delivery and management of the KidsCan ECE Programme, designed to support children under five years of age in need. Cultural competence and proficiency in Te Reo Maori are required.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a dedicated team, ensuring that children's needs are at the forefront of all decision-making, development, implementation, and delivery.
What you'll do: As an Early Childhood Education (ECE) Manager at KidsCan, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of thousands of children across New Zealand. You will be responsible for overseeing every aspect of our ECE Programme's lifecycle - from development to implementation to continuous improvement. Your leadership skills will be instrumental in managing relationships with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams. You will also work closely with our ECE Specialist to develop new projects and programmes based on research insights. Your commitment to cultural competency will ensure our support aligns with Te Reo Maori.
Lead the KidsCan ECE Programme, ensuring that children's needs are at the forefront of all decision-making.
Guarantee high-quality programme execution and effective relationship management.
Collaborate with suppliers and the Head of Programmes to evaluate and approve recipes.
Oversee the effective delivery of the ECE Programme on both the KidsCan Portal and NetSuite.
Manage customer relationships throughout their entire journey.
Foster strong relationships with ECE centre managers and programme coordinators.
Address customer inquiries promptly, manage conflicts, and resolve issues.
Work closely with the ECE Specialist during the development and enhancement of additional projects and programmes.
Oversee the ECE Programme application and selection process.
Continuously assess and enhance all aspects of the ECE Programme.
What you bring: As an ideal candidate for the Early Childhood Education (ECE) Manager position at KidsCan, you bring a wealth of experience and expertise in early childhood education or a community-based role. You are adept at navigating uncertainty and change, demonstrating resilience and strategic foresight. Your excellent relationship-building abilities will be key in managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. A solution-oriented mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and self-management capabilities are also essential for this role.
Fluency in Te Reo Maori and experience in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field.
Experience in leadership, overseeing and mentoring a close-knit busy team.
Ability to navigate uncertainty, change, and competing priorities with resilience and strategic foresight.
Excellent relationship-building abilities with both internal and external stakeholders.
Solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
Strong self-management skills while maintaining clear communication with the team.
