Our preschool in Ponsonby is searching for a dedicated Centre Manager to lead our growing centre and shape an inspiring learning environment. This role offers a unique opportunity for someone ready to take on leadership in a centre aiming to expand both its hours and enrolment capacity.About the Role:Salary: $90,000 - $95,000, depending on experienceAs Centre Manager, you will:Lead and mentor a team to foster a positive and engaging educational setting.Oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with Ministry of Education (MOE) standards and ERO regulations.Build and strengthen community relationships, collaborating with families, staff, and the Board of Trustees.Play a pivotal role in developing the centre's focus on the Reggio Emilia philosophy and RIE approach.Drive enrolment growth and support the potential expansion of centre hours from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm to 8:00 am - 5:30 pm.Key Responsibilities:Leadership: Inspire and lead a team of dedicated educators, promoting professional development and high standards.Operational Management: Ensure effective day-to-day operations, including compliance, health and safety, and licensing criteria.Community Engagement: Develop meaningful relationships with families and the community, supporting centre enrolments.Strategic Planning: Shape the future of the centre with autonomy in educational, environmental, and team decisions.Working Hours:Current operating Hours: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, with shifts starting from 7:45 amPending Extension: Approval is underway to extend hours from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, increasing weekly hours to 40.Qualifications & Experience:B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher registration/certification.Prior leadership experience (team leader, supervisor, coordinator, or head teacher).Passion for Te Whariki principles and a solid understanding of MOE requirements.Knowledge of Reggio Emilia and RIE philosophies is highly desirable.Benefits:Full-day parking included.Potential additional incentives may be available.Desired Attributes:We're looking for a proactive and resilient individual with integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to best practices.
