E-Commerce SEO Specialist– Part Time (Approx 10 – 15 Hours A week)
An Ecom SEO Expert is a specialized professional adept at optimizing e-commerce websites to enhance their visibility on search engines, drive organic traffic, and boost online sales. They possess in-depth knowledge of SEO strategies tailored specifically for e-commerce platforms, ensuring that products and services reach the widest possible audience. Key responsibilities and skills include:
Keyword Research and Analysis : Identifying high-converting and relevant keywords that potential customers use to search for products online. This includes long-tail keywords and niche-specific terms that drive targeted traffic. On-Page Optimization : Ensuring that product pages, category pages, and the overall site structure are optimized for search engines. This involves optimizing meta titles, descriptions, headers, and image alt texts, as well as ensuring keyword-rich content that aligns with search intent. Technical SEO : Addressing technical aspects of the website, such as site speed, mobile optimization, crawlability, and indexing. This also includes resolving issues related to duplicate content, broken links, and implementing structured data to enhance search engine understanding. Content Strategy : Developing and implementing a content strategy that includes blog posts, product descriptions, and other forms of content that attract and engage users while also improving search engine rankings. Link Building : Creating a robust backlink profile by acquiring high-quality, relevant backlinks from authoritative websites to enhance domain authority and improve rankings. Analytics and Reporting : Utilizing tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other SEO tools to monitor performance, track key metrics, and adjust strategies based on data-driven insights. Regularly reporting on traffic, rankings, and other important SEO metrics. Competitor Analysis : Keeping a close eye on competitors' SEO strategies, identifying gaps and opportunities, and staying ahead in the competitive e-commerce landscape. To be successful in this role, you will need: At least 3 years of proven experience in SEO A bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills A positive can-do attitude and a willingness to learn and grow It would be nice if you also have: Experience in SEM or other digital marketing channels Experience in working at a big four consultancy or digital agency Proficiency in using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Moz, SEMrush, etc. About Us: Space General is based in Auckland, New Zealand, and specializes in homeware and furniture.
