As a driver with Davey Tree, you will be responsible for ensuring the crew and equipment arrive at the job site safely and on time. Once at the site, you will join the rest of the crew as a Groundperson, providing your in-depth knowledge and skills to ensure the job gets done right and on time.
Job DutiesDrive a commercial truck with crew and equipment to various job sites as required.Perform and log daily pre and post trip inspections of the vehicle.Maintain cleanliness of the truck, keeping the interior and exterior of the vehicle free of debris.Operate as an active crew member supporting the ground crew and crew leader.Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients.Prune, thin, and remove deadwood throughout the tree canopy.Install cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems.Remove hazardous trees.Properly maintain, prepare, and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, and more.Assist the trimmers and foreperson in job site setup, debris removal, and cleanup.QualificationsValid provincial driver's license.
