Dyno Maintenance TechnicianThird shift (10pm-6:30am)The RoleWe are seeking an Engineering Maintenance and technical support Technician to work in several teams where you will demonstrate your knowledge, skills, and learning abilities with a nominal amount of cross training. More experienced applicants will manage most project responsibilities rather than working on parts of a job and possess the ability to mentor other technicians. I&E technicians can expect to work in various areas of the lab. This typically involves troubleshooting test cell systems and equipment, calibrating instrumentation, and performing preventative maintenance. The group seeks to minimize downtime to maximize efficiency while driving continuous improvement.What You'll DoTroubleshooting and repair of all items making up the test cell facility, including drive systems, fuel systems, dynamometers, pumps, heaters, heat exchangers, collecting motor vibration data, filter replacement, installing and calibrating cell transducers, harness and wiring troubleshooting, etc.Installation, calibration, set-up, and troubleshooting of exhaust gas emission measurement equipment.Equipment preventive and predictive maintenance work.Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)Associates Degree or equivalent experience in an electrical-related field (circuit level, machine controls/maintenance, high voltage, commercial electrical, etc.) and/or related certifications; Bachelor's Degree preferred.3-5+ years of electrical and/or mechanical hands-on experience and capability.Welding and fabrication without clear direction.Familiarity with any of the kinds of systems mentioned above.Must be comfortable working on 480VAC and 1000VDC systems, potentially while energized, and understand associated risk reduction techniques.Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.Broad troubleshooting skills.Task BreakdownOnsite tasks include checking emails, participating in a morning kickoff meeting hosted by the team lead, creating a shift plan, receiving job assignments, and executing work. Team leads can provide assistance as needed, and technicians will eventually manage their own work.Examples of a Plan for the DayTypical tasks may include verifying the operation of equipment if the test cell is down, running tests to ensure proper functionality, checking filters, coordinating with other teams for testing, and performing scheduled maintenance such as calibration tests and fluid changes.Interaction Level with the TeamTechnicians will work closely with their team lead and may work in pairs or individually depending on the project.Work EnvironmentThe work environment is a clean, climate-controlled test facility, all indoors.Company DescriptionBranex Group is a Minority-owned Technical Staffing firm headquartered in Auburn Hills, MI.
