With spectacular waterfront views of Waitemata Bay and frontage on Quay Street, this halo property is the crown jewel amongst Auckland's luxury accommodation offerings.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Duty Technician to join our Maintenance team at InterContinental Auckland. As a crucial member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of the hotel's facilities.
A little taste of your day to day
Execute daily maintenance tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Manager;
Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential issues promptly;
Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems;
Collaborate with the maintenance team to implement effective solutions;
Perform repairs and maintain guest room facilities, light facilities, furniture, and equipment in a timely manner;
Assist in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance programs;
Work collaboratively with the maintenance and wider hotel team to achieve common goals.
What we need from you
Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays;
Physical ability to lift, carry, and move heavy equipment and perform manual tasks;
Strong problem-solving skills;
Excellent teamwork skills;
Hotel experience is preferred but not essential.
