Duty Manager - Wanaka Four Square

Are you ready to step into a dynamic role where you can make a real impact to customers' in-store experience? We are seeking a full time Duty Manager / Shop Assistant to join our fantastic team. This is a varied role requiring a dynamic person who is willing to get to know people and be a friendly face of Four Square Wanaka.
Four Square Wanaka has recently come under new ownership, and we are looking for an experienced Duty Manager to join our friendly team. We are committed to providing our customers with a great range of quality products every day – the store is in a great location to introduce people to Wanaka, and we are on the lookout for someone who will contribute to providing a great customer experience.
This role requires a current Duty Manager's certificate, or, three months recent experience in the sale of alcohol and a willingness to undertake a short course in the sale and supply of alcohol to gain your LCQ. Applicants need to be extremely trustworthy, mature and able to make confident and informed decisions as you will be leading the sale and supply of alcohol on behalf of the store.
This role would be for the hours of 1.30pm – 10pm at night, either for one full time or two part time positions. Applicants need to be able to work at least one weekend shift a week.
Key Tasks Include: Serving customers on the tills for general grocery purchasesSupporting other staff with processing the sale of alcoholic beverages and checking ID when necessaryResponding to customers' inquiries and handling any issues to find a solutionEnsuring every customer gets quick and friendly service and receives quality goodsHelping to maintain great presentation of the store and rotating stockCooking product and ensuring adherence to Food Safety and Health and Safety processes (training will be given)What you'll bring: Friendly demeanor and an ability to work in a teamWillingness to help othersExperience in selling alcohol (minimum six months) and/or a Duty Manager's certificate/LCQReliability and great communication skills.Apply early – we will be interviewing as suitable applicants are received and the position may be filled earlier than the closing date.
