The Hangar Bar in Henderson, Auckland is seeking a talented Duty Manager to join our dynamic team. As Duty Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our vibrant bar and restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service and efficient management of our staff.
This is a full-time position based in our modern Henderson location.
What you'll be doing
Supervise and coordinate the front of house team to deliver a seamless customer experience
Manage shift scheduling, staff training, and performance monitoring
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance across the venue
Handle customer queries, feedback, and complaints with professionalism and care
Assist the General Manager with administrative tasks and reporting
Lead by example and foster a positive, collaborative team culture
Contribute to the development and implementation of new initiatives and strategies
What we're looking for
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar duty manager or supervisory role within the hospitality industry
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on customer service
Proficient in using hospitality management software and point-of-sale systems
Thorough knowledge of liquor licensing, health, and safety regulations
A genuine passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences
