Duty Manager

We are looking for a high energy individual who is not shy of responsibility to interact and assist our customers and team members with whatever needs they have while the Department Managers are not there.Our shifts for this role are Tuesday – Saturday with the shifts varying from 6am-2.30pm and 12.30pm-9pm.About the Role:It is the duty manager's role to ensure a great shopping experience for all customers while Department Managers aren't present and to keep the store running smoothly at all times.The role requires a leader to direct a small team throughout the week.
The successful candidate must have the following:General Managers Certificate – Or be able to apply for this.Good command of written and spoken English.Team leadership experience.Able to make 'customer driven' decisions.Customer & results focused.Strong team player and problem solver.Planning, organizational & time management skills.Maintain standards and have an eye for detail.Physically fit, healthy, and able to fulfil the requirements of the role.Productivity & personal effectiveness – ability to self-manage / work autonomously.If you have any of the following, these will be attractive in your application:Experience working with Fuel.First aid certificate.Here at New World Whitianga, we are proud to develop our staff and encourage personal development.
