4 Square Putaruru is a brand-new 4 Square! The store will offer barista made coffee, a great food-to-go selection, all the everyday essentials and fresh faves that our guests could want, and all while providing the local service that 4 Square is famous for. We'll be a small, passionate team with a dedication to providing the best shopping experience for the Putaruru community.
With our official opening set for November 2024, we are seeking Duty Managers to join our new team. You'll be working alongside an experienced team and Owner Operators to help deliver a shopping experience that is second to none.
Full Time Roles
Morning and afternoon/evening shifts available. 4 to 5 days per week.
The Role
As a Duty Manager at 4Square Putaruru you'll be a real jack of all trades and happy to help across the store. Collaboration is key – you'll be helping make coffee's one minute, jumping to stock replenishment and then helping on checkouts.
Provide a high level of customer service
Maintain a consistently fresh, full and appealing shopping experience for guests.
Replenishment across all departments.
Inspire and motivate your team of supermarket assistants.
Supervising the sale of alcohol and tobacco.
Work in either our Grocery, Fresh and/or Food to go departments

If you have 6 months + experience working with or selling liquor, we can support you to get your duty manager's licence.
What are we looking for:
Previous supermarket experience is advantageous.
Proven experience in a customer focused role – hospitality/retail.
Leadership capability or previous experience supervising a team.
Duty management or alternatively 6 months + experience working with/selling liquor
Reliable, honest and be a good team player.
Self-starters and the ability work across multiple departments.
Ability to multitask and work at a pace with attention to detail.
Right to work in New Zealand
