About the Business: Tenpin Tauranga is an entertainment centre popular for parties, celebrations, individual bowls, leagues, school teams, and corporate and social club events. A cool venue to escape the heat of summer, and warm in the winter, there's fun for all the family at Tenpin Tauranga. About the Role: We're excited to bring another star player onto our team! We need a quick thinker and fast learner with excellent numeracy skills in cash handling and computer ability. We're after someone great with people of all ages and capabilities. You must be able to work unsupervised or in charge of a shift. From greeting guests to managing bookings and serving food and drinks, you'll ensure every visitor has an unforgettable experience. Tenpin Tauranga is open 7 days a week, and this role will be on a 5-day roster with a mix of day and evening shifts and at least one shift per weekend plus one full weekend off per month. Our team works together to accommodate university and sports schedules and other commitments, and we value the flexibility each person brings so that we all get a great work/life balance. The Ideal Person: Must be aged 20 years or older to obtain a bar manager's license if you don't already have one. Current Duty Manager Certificate would be highly beneficial. Ideally have experience working in a busy Hospitality or Retail role. Is computer savvy, ideally with experience using Eftpos and a POS system (Tenpin Tauranga uses QubicaAMF Conqueror X Point of Sales System to make bookings). Is reliable and responsible for running the till, Has the maturity to supervise staff on shift. Warm, welcoming, friendly, able to think on their feet and solve any problems that may arise. Available to work rostered shifts between 8:00 am-11:00 pm. Has reliable transport to get to/from work.
