We support you to grow and learn every day, making sure that work brings purpose to your life, so that during your journey with us, you can continue to explore Accor's limitless possibilities.Job DescriptionPrime Function:Responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of all machinery, equipment and engineering facilities of ibis Kalinathat there is no breakdown of the engineering systems.At regular intervals, inspect the working condition of equipment and engineering systems and ensure that all standards are maintained.Monitor and record utility consumption and assist the Chief Engineer to maintain efficiency.Assist the Chief Engineer to direct and coordinate the overall activities of the Engineering Department.Conform and adhere to the policies & procedures and rules & regulations as laid down by ibis, in order to achieve the highest levels of guest service.Facilitates the functioning of and/or oversees the functioning of Housekeeping Department or any other Department in the Hotel when necessitated by circumstances and as mandated by the General Manager. This would be over and above regular stipulated responsibilities and duties.Key Responsibilities:Engineering PlanningAssist the Chief Engineer to identify the major facilities and equipment requirements for the department and the property.Ensure correct maintenance of all equipment in conjunction with the other user departments & stay abreast with the technological advances in surveillance & safety of equipment.People ManagementEstablish and maintain seamless co-ordination & co-operation with all departments of ibis to ensure maximum cooperation, productivity, morale and guest service.Provide effective support to the team to enable them to deliver effective and efficient services.Respond to customer queries by resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner to ensure customer satisfaction.Motivate and develop staff to ensure smooth functioning of the department.Ensure that the team is trained in all safety provisions.Financial ManagementEnsure optimal, cost effective use of the resources and educate the team on the same.Operational ManagementInspect regularly to assess the state of the buildings and of the installations. This applies to the inspections of: all stonework, brickwork, paint works, coating, facing, covering, flooring, plumbing and carpentry, and questions concerning the heating, air conditioning, hot water tank as well as electrical problems relevant to high and low current (telephone, television, neon signs, kitchen equipment, vacuum cleaners, etc.), questions concerning refrigeration (refrigerating unit) and the functioning of elevators.To supervise the operations of Air-conditioning plant, boilers, pumps, etc.QualificationsB.E or equivalent DiplomaMinimum 3-4 years experience in same field (Hotel background)Pre-opening experience will be an added advantage
