We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team for the installation and fabrication of air conditioning ducts on both commercial and residential construction projects.Qualifications and Skills Required:Ideally 3 years experience in New ZealandSolid understanding of ducting fabrication and installation principlesAbility to read and design plans for building heating and cooling systemsA mixture of installation and fabrication experience is idealExperience on large/complex construction sitesResponsibilities:Work at various heights and levels, including overhead ducting installationsSkilfully fit and weld air conditioning ducts when requiredAnalyse blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine material and equipment requirementsSelect metal stock (stainless steel, galvanized iron, mild steel, aluminium, and copper) ensuring compliance with size, gauges, and dimensionsPrecisely cut metal stock using hand and power shears, lasers, plasma cutters, and drillsShape and form metal stock with folding and bending machines, rollers, presses, and hammersAssemble components into final products with welding, riveting, soldering, brazing, and other joining techniquesApply finishing touches to enhance product quality, including polishing, filing, sanding, and thorough cleaningSpecialise in fabrication, on-site assembly, installation, or decorative copperworkInterpret engineering production drawings accurately and utilise production equipment effectivelyParticipate in metal smelting, ceramic firing, mineral ore processing, casting, and wire drawingJoin our team of skilled Duct Fitters/Installers and contribute to high-quality projects in the construction industry.
