If you are an experienced Dual Trade I&E technician, then we're interested in talking to you.
Entec's instrumentation and electrical business is growing at a stellar pace. The size of our team has doubled in the last few years, but our workload is growing even quicker. Hence, we are looking for experienced tradespeople to work in both maintenance and project roles within our large I&E business. This role would best suit tradespeople with maintenance or construction experience.
A little bit about us.
Entec is envied for the calibre of its staff and the consistently high quality of the products, projects and services that we deliver to our customers. We operate across mechanical, instrumentation, electrical and gas detection disciplines and we are proud of our reputation as a good supplier, and a good employer. Entec is privately owned and well-managed; we aim to keep the feel of the small family business that we were a few years ago, while offering the capability, security and strength of a large company.
We now employ around 130 people and have locations in Auckland, Taupo, New Plymouth, and operate nationwide.
The job we have on offer.

This role will be based out of our Taupo branch, working predominantly in the Central North Island region (for maintenance roles) and across the North Island region (for construction roles).
As an experienced tradesperson you will need to demonstrate excellent workmanship, productivity and attention to detail to both your hands-on work and your documentation, with a high regard for safe working practices. You will also need to have initiative and the ability to self-manage your work.
As Entec runs a large apprentice programme your participation in training and mentoring is an expectation.
To be considered for this role you would need to hold or demonstrate:
Recognised industry trade qualifications.
Current, full EWRB NZ practising licence.
A minimum of two years' relevant experience.
An ability to interpret schematic drawings and understand and manage technical documentation.
The ability to problem solve.
Focus and attention to detail.
The ability to help create and work to production schedules.
A commitment to Entec's Health, Safety and Quality culture.
Willingness to work as part of a dynamic team.
Remuneration will be by way of competitive hourly rate, dependant on trade qualifications, relevant experience, and any other skills you can bring to the business. Penal rates and other allowances are also paid. The standard working week will be 40 hours, with potential for overtime to be worked as well. The majority of work will be centred around Taupo, but you will need to be able to commit to periods of working away from home.
If you fit the bill and would like to pursue this opportunity to take the next step in your career, then please apply online today with a Covering Letter and a CV.
