Make a real difference in the life of a former refugee by teaching them how to drive. Full mentor training is provided as well as a professional driving lesson and a dual-control car will be available for each driving session. A compulsory induction will be held at the Settlement Centre Waikato - the date will be advised on application. The Programme Co-ordinator will be responsible for booking and arranging lessons. You will gain experience in tutoring and learn about other cultures.Requirements:Held a full NZ licence for 2 years or more. 25 years or older - due to insurance requirements. A confident and patient driver. Patient, understanding, value safe, legal driving.Police vetting. A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.Time commitment:Attend a half an hour Mentor induction at the Settlement Centre Waikato (46G Boundary Rd. Claudelands), followed by a two-hour mentor training with our driving supervisor at a mutually convenient time.
