Learn to Drive has been delivering quality driver training and education across Taranaki since 2019. We are committed to helping our community achieve independence through safe, legal driving. We are seeking a full-time, permanent Driving Instructor to join our team and assist with the growing demand for our services in New Plymouth. Key Responsibilities: Provide driving lessons for Class 1 vehicles, helping students pass learner theory, restricted, and full licence tests. Assist clients with driver licence applications and guide them through the testing process. Deliver lessons that promote road safety and responsible driving. Maintain accurate records of student progress and lesson details. You Must Have: A high standard of driving skills in Automatic and Manual vehicles. Full Class 1 New Zealand driver's licence (held for at least 2 years). The ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the role including passing NZTA medical requirements. The ability to pass the NZTA fit and proper person check. The ability to work independently with strong time management skills. Self-motivation, high integrity, and sound judgement. Patience, empathy, and the ability to work with people from all backgrounds. The Ideal Applicant Will Have: Leadership skills and experience in the driving or transport industry. An understanding of Tikanga Maori (Maori customs and values). Experience in adult education or training. Reside in the New Plymouth District. What We Offer: Full training provided (I-Endorsement Qualification). A company vehicle and phone for work purposes. Starting salary of $70k - $75k once all training successfully completed.
