About the Job: As a Furniture Truck Driver, you and a team of two will be responsible for packing, loading, stowing and safely transporting household furniture and personal effects to our in-house storage or to various locations around the Taranaki region for unloading and unpacking.
We are seeking someone who: Holds a valid and current Class 2 or 4 driver's licence.
Can be reliable and available to work Monday – Friday 7.30am starts.
Knows how to use a logbook correctly.
Excellent driving skills and knowledge of road safety regulations.
Has previous experience as a Class 2 truck driver, preferably in furniture transportation or related field.
Knows how to stow a truck depending on weight or is willing to learn.
Has the ability to lift heavy furniture and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading.
Has clear communication skills.
Is friendly and polite to our clients when working in their homes.
Holds a permanent resident visa or is a citizen.
