Driver Support - Class 2

Our business is Fresh Produce deliveries throughout Auckland, providing fresh produce to cafes, restaurants, bars and hotels. Our logistics department is currently on the lookout for someone to support our logistics team in a driver support role. The primary function of this role is to cover drivers during annual leave or sickness periods, and additional back up for our Logistics Manager. This role requires you to have a Class 2 license. The hours for this position will usually be between 40-50 hours per week, however the hours can vary at times. Not every day will involve driving as it will be specific to the business needs on any given day. Tasks and Responsibilities of the role will include: Lifting of products up to 20kgsLoading and unloading of vehiclesDriving and delivering based on sequenced runs and instructions as requiredWork according to varying finish times as per allocated runsBeing punctual and politeBeing able to work rostered shifts during the week which include SaturdaysSome yard work and truck cleaning involvedThe suitable applicant will need to: Hold a FULL Class 2 drivers license Be adaptable, and able to think on your feetBe geographically savvy with the Auckland regionBe physically fit with good strengthIdeally have experience doing a similar role but not essential as full training will be providedBe an early riser who is able to work in the early hours of the morning, your shift starts at 0300.Have excellent communication skills and a full understanding of both verbal and written English.Have a clean drivers license and references available.This role will be filled as soon as we find a suitable applicant.  Only applicants with a Full NZ Drivers License and entitlement to work in NZ will be considered.
