About the role This position involves a variety of driving and support duties critical to ensuring smooth operations and exceptional service delivery. The role is structured around a fortnightly schedule and requires a flexible and adaptable individual to meet the demands of the service.
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM.Week 2: Same as Week 1, with an additional shift on Saturday from 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM.About the Team/Service/Location This driver service in Nelson Hospital is an integral part of the region's healthcare operations, ensuring the timely and reliable delivery of medical supplies, pharmacy items, and essential equipment. About you: Key Responsibilities: Pharmacy Delivery Runs: Motueka pharmacy deliveries every Thursday, Golden Bay and Wakefield pharmacy deliveries every second Monday.Driving the shuttle as per the roster, with flexibility required to accommodate changing schedules.Assisting with the relocation of equipment and furniture as needed.Ensuring cleanliness and basic upkeep of the vehicles.Filling in for the full-time driver during periods of leave.Assisting other drivers with courier and store-related deliveries.Safely transporting medical items to and from theatre.Skills and experience Experience with security procedures and/or freight deliveries/courier services/bus or taxi services.Flexibility to adjust to roster changes and shuttle schedules.Physically fit to handle equipment and furniture moves.Strong time management and reliability to meet delivery schedules.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff and clients.Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Working for Health New Zealand Health NZ is the weaving of wellnesses.
