Driver

We require Drivers to join the team.

This is a permanent role.
Full time, with minimum guaranteed 30 hours per week
Monday - Friday with weekend jobs available
Competitive remuneration $29.66- $35.00 per hour depending on experience

About the Role
You will be based in Auckland, but may also be required to work in Northland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawkes Bay, Taranaki, Wellington, and Canterbury. This may require the need to travel away from home or relocate.
What you will do

Operate vehicles and provide transport solutions and freight throughout New Zealand
Drive your assigned vehicle to the locations instructed by the dispatcher safely.
Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
Document and log work/rest periods and kilometres spend driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size weight route designations parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
Manoeuvre trucks into loading or unloading positions
Collect and verify delivery instructions
Report defects accidents or violations
Adhere to health and safety regulations
Assist with any other tasks as and when required

The successful applicant will

At least 12 months of relevant and verifiable experience
An experienced Class 4 or 5 drivers' licence or equivalent is required
Flexibility to meet the demands of the operation including working shift work and spending nights away from home
Clean driving records
A dedication to Health & Safety in the workplace
A proven track record in safety compliance
Ability to pass a workplace medical exam including drug and alcohol testing
You must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand
