DescriptionWe are currently looking for a Class 4 Driver to join our Construction Team in Palmerston North.
In this role you will be working a minimum of 40 hours per week Monday-Friday, 6am-6pm and on occasion will be required to work additional days/hours to meet the needs of the business.Grow and develop in a supportive team – career pathway to leadership rolesBrand new PPE gear (that's your own personal protective equipment)Training to gain additional licencesWhat You'll Be DoingYou'll be joining a small crew that works on a range of roading projects throughout the region.
You will be responsible for:Operating water trucks in a safe and professional manner to support construction activitiesConducting pre-start checks and maintain the vehicle in good working orderMonitoring and maintaining water levels and the distribution of water across the siteCommunicating effectively with the site team to understand watering requirementsGeneral labouring on site and operation of other equipment such as tractor broomWhat You'll BringClass 4 driver licence is essentialWTR is beneficialWillingness to undertake labouring dutiesGood level of fitnessA safety-first attitude – for yourself and the publicReliable, punctual, and motivatedA good communicator & team playerAbout UsHiggins is a leading roading and civil infrastructure company in New Zealand.
